Help!! I removed gas tank then put it back and now bike wont run
So I decided to paint my bike and in order to do it right I took the gas tank off of my 1990 kawasaki zx-6. The only things I had to take apart was a hose off of the petcock and an electrical harness. Other than that the bike ran dam near perfect. But one I put the tank back onto the bike now it only idles for no more than 2 minutes or so and then it just stalls out. It's never stalled like this before. THIS bike ran so good that when it starts it just fires right up. Now it still fires right up except it won't stay running for more than a few minutes. Also there is a what I want to call a pet **** that has a button on it that if I hit the button while it is running it moves fuel into a hose that is put straight into the center of the carburetor setup. When it fires up it sounds better than ever but then it dies and if I spray some gas into my air filter the bike will reluctantly start but now now now the idle is terrible and I have to constantly feather the throttle or press the button on the petcock. Please tell me I'm missing something super easy.
