Default gear shifter

hopefully i can get some help i have a 1994 zx6 and i need to change gear shifter the rod broke is that something i can do myself and if i can does anyone know a site or a few instructions on how to do it please

changing the shifter rod is real easy.
unscrew the locking nuts and then unscrew the rod...
screw on the new rod, adjust the shifter hight to your likings, then tighten the locking nuts.. done

like onewheel said, a few tools, a couple of bolts and you'll be done in no time. Before you take everything apart, try and measure the length of the old rod bolt to bolt. That will give you a good ballpark of where you should put the new rod at.
