Free fender eliminator 05 636

Hey guys, today I had the bright idea of taking apart the rear end of my bike to try and make up a fender eliminator like the one remo made for his bike. Well I got taking it apart and realized that I really didn't have to buy anything to do it. I didn't leave the light on like he did though. Here is what I did:

- took off the fender and fender bracket.
- took off the rear tail section so I could get to the plug for the liscense plate light.
- bent the rear part of the fender bracket so its only bolted on with two bolts now and the other two holes are used to bolt on the liscense plate.
- reassembled using the two holes on the bent part of the fender bracket for the liscense plate.
- Oh don't forget to flip the black liscense plate bracket upside down so it lowers the plate to clear the signal light plastics.

Here are some pics. Doesn't look too bad for a free job.

Nice job. I did just about the same thing(yours looks a heck of alot nicer) but i used a piece of aluim. angle and attatched it to 2 of the 4 bolts that held up the fender. I must say yours looks better than some after market ones that sell for $80+. :D I have since removed mine and replaced it with the one that came with my exhaust. sweet color by the way.

Thanks! I wonder if my exhaust will come with one and if I will be able to keep the stock signals... hmmm... were you able to keep the stock signals if you wanted to? I noticed you have the little ones behind the plate.

I wasnt able to keep the stock. Every thing you see came with my exhaust. Those little lights are just as bright if not brighter than stock. What kind of exhaust are you getting?

Hold on! I just found a picture of it... I can keep my stock signals but I'll probably change them sometime this summer anyway cause those little ones look pretty cool.

No i don't have the power commander. The bike is only a week old and has 800 kms on it so I didn't really get the time to do anything to it yet. All I have done to it is the fender eliminator and the rest is pretty much stock.
