Experience with sport bike footwear.
 

I recently bought AGV leather pants and their Pro Race boots to complete my protective riding gear. I took the bike out the other night with coat, pants, boots and gloves on to try the whole outfit out. I noticed it was alot more difficult to manover my foot into the right position to shift with the boots on when comparing to my tennis shoes. I understand that the tennis shoes offer no ankle supports or protection but my question is, should the boots make it feel more difficult to position my foot to shift gears? Does it take a while to get used to? Or are most sport bike boots made to work better with the race style forward controls?? Any input would be much appreciated.

you need to adjust your shift lever to acomodate the added girth of the boot.

Makes sense.......so loosen the bolt/nut and adjust the gear change lever upwards?

loosen the 2 10mm nuts on the shift linkage and spin it and you will see the lever move.

sit on the bike and see where your foot is comfy, tighten it up after its adjusted, test ride it. good to go bro.

Also, take into consideration that the boots will loosen up/ break-in and get more comfortable & flexible so you may have to make adjustments again.

I had the same issue for about 15 minutes after riding in my boots for the first time.... I left the lever in its original spot, cause I ride alot in regular boots and in shoes when I commute to work. So I have just gotten used to riding in my boots, it didn't take long for them to break in. Now when I ride in them I don't notice it much, and my upshifts are a little quicker... I noticed the later at the strip..
