Default engine help

hi I could really use some help I recently acquired a 1987 ninja zx6 which has been stored in a guys basement for 5 yrs and the engine is not running he says it ran great when he stored it but I have very little compression and no amount of soaking has loosened the rings (if that is the problem) I have almost no money in this bike and it appears to be in pretty good shape physically would like to spend a little money on it and make a runner out of it does anyone know of a company where I can get oversized pistons or a big bore kit to bring this screamer back to life or any other help would be greatly appreciated

Default RE: engine help

Check www.wiseco.com or search some of the posts here. We discussed a 665 kit for the 636's and there were links to companies with piston kits for other models.

There are 2 companies that make Big Bore kits for the 636's. Wiseco is one and there is another. It will make it to 662cc's but you will have to re-plate the cylinders. http://www.dynoman.net/engine/pistons/kawa.html
I think JE makes piston kits also for the 636.

Here's another 655cc kit:
