Anyone ever gone...say...10 up in the rear?
i was looking into some pretty large rear sprockets. It seems this bike doesn't want to have fun until about 50 mph....i've awlays heard the 1 down 2 up idea....but here is the problem: Going one down in the front will give you a more violent throttle response. If i leave the front at 15 teeth and then go up 10 in the back, i should be able to pull the bike right up and still have smooth power deliviery. Also....they make a 20 up for the rear, but i think that would be a problem on the highway.
With sprocket that big, it will be all wheelie and low end (speed wise). You might hate going on the freeway for any length of time. The bike will be revving 10K at 60 mph.
thats kinda the point. More fun at lower speeds. I tend to draw alot of attention to myself having to be near 12k before the wheel comes up. And 10 up won't put me at 10k for 60. i could still get well past 100. 1 down and 3 up is like 6 up when you calculate it out. I'm not gonna drop my front sprocket at all. Anywho. i'm gonna try it out and then post the rpms for specific speeds on a straight road (there are a ton of those out here in NM).
