so let me start off by saying this will be my first bike. that said i am only 18 but i am a muture 18 year old. I think that i have the discipline and self control to learn to respect a bike.

6100 miles never dropped i emailed the guy and it seems he he will olny go to 5300. i might keep pressing and see if i can get 5 flat but im not sure.

Or do you guys think i should listen to my buddy and get an older cheaper bike. like this so that if <and probably when> i drop it it won't matter so much to me?

i decided to go with an older bike, cheaper to buy, cheaper to fix, care less when/if you lay it down. that's just me tho, 06s are sweet looking bikes but i never found the newer Kawis all that comfortable. just my taste tho. do the research on what everything will cost you (bike/repairs/parts avail/insurance/etc) and weight it out with what you want and want to spend and go from there i'd say.
