97 zx6r - Fluid under front wheel

Hello All,
I have 97 zx6r. I unpacked her today...she had been sitting all winter and I noticed a pool of fluid under the front wheel. I couldn't tell where it came from and it looked like oil. I checked the break fluid and it was full so I am assuming that this is a leak from one of my front shocks. Does that make sense? Could it be something else?

I took the bike for a quick spin and she drove/felt absolutely perfect. Can I ignore this issue? Is there anything I can do prevent more fluid from leaking? I assume fixing the issue properly is a huge pain/expensive right?

Thanks for any help - J

The front fork seals can and will weep fluid after a long or even an improper tie down. (my quick guess)

Take a peek at the fork tubes, wipe your finger around it and see which leg may be seeping. Look for any other possible issues around the engine. Any external oil lines on the '97 like I have on the '90? Check those as well.
