So, what exactly is the difference between a 636 and a regular 6r?

hmm, you may want to compare the specs in kawasaki.com to quickly compare the two rides.

03-06 kawasaki made the 636 but in 07 they went back to the 599cc power plant, i have a 04 and it is a great bike, good power, handleing, & brakes, i would say go for it if thats what u want

thats a good deal for that bike, if its mechanically sound get it !!!the 2002 and below zx6r's were carbureted and had a 599 cc engine. 03-06 zx6r were fuel injected and had a 636cc engine.07-08 zx6r has a 599cc engine. the 03-06zx6RR had a 599 cc engine andjustable swingarm and slipperclutch, which the 636 eventually got in 05 i think. the ZXRR is a race bike. thats about it . if your looking for a used supersport bike then the 03-06 zx6r 636 is your best bet pretty much for perfomance , but i suggest ride em all first before you buy anything..
