I like all the technical aspects of the bike but not the looks. It looks plain, not nearly aggressive enough looking. But, by the sound of all the changes the thing should handle sweet!

i just noticed you cant see the brake light. god i hope they didnt put it on the mudflap like honda!!!
Sorry to tell you but the tail light is in the mudflap. The new design is great so I hope they design a fender eliminator to include a tail light. I bet they do since Honda and Kawasaki are doing it.

ugly lights and ugly muffler. i bet they dont ship with the front flush mounts. good looking bike though.
i hope the following quote does not turn into another throttle body situation

"The new Ninja brings a unique element to this class by providing a cassette-type transmission. This design allows racers easy gearbox ratio swaps that are pratically impossible with the arrangements on typical transmission designs"

kawasaki must really want this bike to be used to race, just hack off all the light, and its ready to go to the track, no tape up jobs or anything....thats probably why theyre doing that

I agree that they're putting the tail light on the mudflap because they want us to be able to take it off and track it. But, I like to use race plastics anyway, so I don't scratch up those expensive OEM plastics. I would rather purchase a set of new ($750) or used ($350) race plastics over paying gobs of money to fix the OEM's WHEN I go down at the track.

It looks good; we'll just have to wait and see the performance. I like my 636 but it doesn't make sense that Kawasaki made it. They should have made it a 750 instead and go against the GSXR750. With this chassis, it wouldn't have been a problem. Since MotoGP will be 800 cc's, maybe they will come out with a 750.
