Default 2007 ZX-6R instrument cluster on a 2006?

Can it be done? I love the looks of a "mechanical" tachometer.

Somehow, I would doubt it. That bike has been completely redisigned from the wheels on up. I don't think much anything will be able to change over.

Someone asked this earlier. Only way it would work is if you looked at the wiring diagram and matched up the signal wires to each indicator. Something for me to doin the future maybe if I can get my hands on a gauge assembly.

it was i who asked it earlier

and yes it can be, after hours upon hours of research i can almost gaurentee 99% that is can be done, i have swapped a 94 integra gauge cluster into my 99 civic (an hour of re-wiring the dash) and it works perfect! i have seen a 06 zx10r cluster in an 04 10r so it makes me think it is the same thing, the plugs should be different between the two so what you would have to do is get the 07 cluster with plug and cut your plug off and re-wire the new one on, i am going to attempt this as soon as these clusters start making thier way onto ebay i will post a DIY when im done

I think the original assumption was if that maybe it could just "plug-'n-play". You could probably make just about any cluster from any bike work if you have the know-how.

I saw that one too, from Kawasaki.com. But from what I can see it looks like just a normal needle guage. That little cornermost be the speedo part. Doesn't look too exciting to me, maybe if it was a reverse indaglow, that would be something.
