I need to adjust my chain badly, what is the torque spec for the rear axle nut?? on a 2001 zx6r

I believe it is 96 ft lbs for your '01.... You might double check with your local shop or get a manual. :D

Rear axle nut = 92 Ft lbs. Oil drain plug = 21 Ft lbs. Oil filter = 19.5 ft lbs. Chain Slack 35-40mm = 1.378-1.575 inches or approximately 1 3/8"- 1 9/16" total Slack (up and down) as per the 00-02 Kawasaki ZX6R Service manual.

i forgot to ask, what size axle nut is that. i need to go buy a socket for it tomorrow. i tryied measuring it and it looks around 32 mm. anyone know what size for sure??

If you have your stock tool kit, it should have a Axle nut wrench in it that you can use or measure to get the correct size socket.
