14-45 gearing is this a good gearing for the street

Default 14-45 gearing is this a good gearing for the street

Hey guy's i have some questions about the 14-45 gearing, i no most of u guy's here with the 05-06 have -1 +2 from stock so that would make you'll runnin 14-45, how is it on the street, what rpm's are u guy's runnin at 75 mph, i am wantin to gear my bike this gearing but lookin for some input before i do it, i ride this bike on the street and hit the track up on the weekends some

It'll be great for wheelies & dragstripsbut will suck on the freeway and faster road coursetracks.

my husband is 14-44 and he doesn't even like taking it on the freeway now...goodfor the strip though

SKG, that seems like a sharp kink on the CS at 14. Chains still holding up?

He just put it on this week just to see what happens so I guess we will see...he really does not like the gearing for the street. He says when he is going 50mph he is already in 6th gear at about 6k...He will probably change it back to 15-44.

He has an 03 zx6r and he weighs about 210
