05 zx6r 636 engine removal

I Am trying to remove my 05 zx6r 636 engine. I am having a difficult time getting the rear two mounting bolts to move. I have a jack under the engine to support the engine but the bolts still wont move. Has anyone removed this engine? That may have some tips they can share, it would be great.

haven't removed this motor (yet) but i'll share my secrets from NUMEROUS other pulls..

i love ratchet straps.
they're your friend.

gotta put just enough level and equal pressure with your jack.. and keep your ratchet straps on your motor for leverage, and have the bike tied to whatever you can tie it to for stability.

i tie the hell out of the frame to keep it still, so the ONLY movement i get is the one i want in the motor..

just gotta get it barely supported my the jack to alleviate the pressure from the bolts, then wigle the motor and slide the bolts out at the same time.

if you're good, and everythings real sturdy, you can sometimes get the motor "floating" in place, and the bolts just pop right out.

i usually use a chain hoist (or a forklift, if you're lucky to have one..) to settle the motor on blocks after the bolt removal, and pick the whole frame up and off the motor..

thats just me tho.. :D

oh.. and WELCOME TO KF MAN!!!!!!!

i have removed mine and hendrix is right, you need just enough pressure on the motor to get the bolts to spin. i used a tranny cradle jack and just had the bike on a set of vortex race stands with a support strap from the front fork to the roll cage on my truck, just because.

loosen the rear bolts first, then the front, then the suppoert jack till the bolts turn easily, keep in mind theres locktite on them so your not going to be able to turn them by hand.
