Default 05 shift light...

Has anyone with an 05 used their shift light? I have wanted to activate mine, but am curious if it disengages the rev-limiter....

changing your shift light has nothing to so with your rev limiter. Sucks that you can only change your shift light from i think its 12k to 15,5k. would be bad *** if you could do it lower. its not bright enough tho...[:@]

no it's not bright enough. but you could send your guage to blueguages.com and they could change the LED for you. and also all the back lights too...

you don't need to send you gauges off to have them modify them...if you or a friend can solder than you can it yourself...

I have not seen my shift light come on during my street riding, however on the track I watch for the shift light that is set for 14k in order to make the next shift before hitting the rev limiter. Also at age 48, my eye site has a hard time seeing the 636 tach so the dim shift light is welcomed.
