Hello.

I have a 2002 zzr600 that had an engine swap done by a shop. We were not told that they were putting a different model engine in at the time & didn't find out until a friend told us about needing to register the new engine number with the dmv (ya the shop didnt tell us).

Anyways, ever since they swapped the engine we have had nothing but problems. The bike runs but sporadically... it has problems starting & idles either really high or so low it dies. They tried telling us to adjust the idle & that would help but it hasn't helped much at all. We took the bike back to the shop today & asked if they were sure that the new engine was compatable & they said since it seems to fit it should be & they are goin to look at it.

My question is, can anyone give me some insight into whether the zx6r engine is compatible with the bike or if that could be the cause of all our issues with it. Thank you =)
