New ZX14 owner from Canada.
Hey fellas. Names kevin and Im outta Saskatoon Saskatchewan Canada. Just got my 08 SE a month or so ago and I;m busy getting her dialed in to my tastes! Good to see another group of 14 owners. Us Busa killers gotta stick together!!
Mods on the new bike so far:
Puig DB Dark Smoke
Customized my suspension tune
PCIII with 187hp 110tq tune
Ti Force Hi Mount 4-2-1
Flies Out
Vortex Shorty Levers
Pipercross Race Filter
16 tooth Vortex
Speedo heeler
Pingel electric shifter with ignition kill
Fender eliminator
Black spike bar ends, windscreen and fairing collar bolts
More mods ordered and on the way:
-Cycle Logic Stage 1 (250hp) Turbo kite with megaphone exhaust (still batting around the idea of just ordering the 9.5:1 slugs also and running it up around 300)
-Set of Pirreli Diablo III front and rear
-Two rear Shinko Ultra Soft
-Pingel Drag Strut
-Pingel Wheelie Bars
-Spare wheel/sprocket/rotor for street/strip swaps
-MSD Launchmaster 2 Step
-Muzzy Adjustable Kickstand
-Camera Mount
-CCFL Red Halo's for high and low beams
-55w Digital HID for low beams
-Brocks lowering straps and caliper brackets
The idea is not to have to stretch my bike. The way I figure a guy can invest the money in a strut and wheelie bar and spare wheel. Swapping out the shock for the strut, swapping wheels, and mounting wheelie bars is around an hour job. You don't need to worry about extensions, longer chain/more slack, ground sprockets from keeping your chain ridiculously tight, aftermarket shock if you really want to get the suspension dialed in. This way you're in and out of strip mode in a short time. No sacrifice of stock wheelbase and the handling inherent to it.
