Default Area P Silencers

I just got a set of Area P silencers for the bike, along with a K&N air filter. I plan on putting them in over the winter. Meanwhile, I just wanted to remark on the great communication, fast delivery and really great build quality of the silencers and mid-pipes. They will save 16 lbs. from down low on the bike and provide a bit more sound. I got the 2.0" pipes with turn down end caps in brushed stainless. The bike is powerful enough so I went 2.0 to get the loss of weight primarily, and the sound should be a bonus. I was also told by the folks at Area P that the bike will not need a fueling change. Since the bike is being set up for a hyper sport-touring machine, I'm thinking this set up should work well. I'll post up the install and keep info coming on their performance.

I also think that Area P offers great products and customer support. (Was looking at a set my EX250..er...the wifes EX250 from Area P.) I think that you will like the quality and fit for your needs. Although I like to check my tune after a change like that even if it is only a hp or two if that, I just like the piece of mind. Cannot wait on the pictures!

I was kinda surprised that I could use the silencers without a fueling change, but it makes sense if the engineering is right. I'll be able to tell pretty quick if it needs it, though I can honestly say I've never topped out the 14. Once it warms up, I'll do this up.
I was looking at doing a 250 for club racing. It seems like a fun thing to do. Send some photos of your....uh....wifes bike. I really enjoyed helping a buddy set his up for racing a couple of years ago.

hahaha, will do. Picked up the 07 model because of the 16 inch wheels. Narrow and low to the ground for a beginner. Not the best for track use because of the old gen wheels and lack of tire choices. I will post up in the EX250 section tomorrow.

Just wanted to put it out there. The Area P silencers work great. Not fuel programming required but I did notice mileage drop about 6 mpg. Easy install and great sound. I ran them for a year and a half. I put the stockers back on last week and am prepping the bike for a long ride this summer.
