The slow evolution of my ZX12R
The new ones are set at 65psi on the intake and 60psi on the exhaust. Stock is supposed to be around 50. These are all pressures measured at installed height. The spring kit is Kibblewhite.
Today is my first day off work in awhile so I''ll be working on my ZX12R while I have the opportunity.
The first order of business was to get the new thread inserts installed for the tank cover.

I've had them sitting in my freezer for a week so they were plenty cold and as shrunk as I could get them without buying dry ice or liquid nitrogen.
I reamed the mounting holes to make them round and true because both were a little distorted. It wasn't much but it was enough to prevent the plugs from going in.
Then I lubed everything up with an aircraft sealant (to help the plugs go in and to seal them so I don't lose any boost).
Then I put them in. It was messy and I still needed a hammer to tap them in but they went.
Here's the left one just after installing it. I still need to clean up my mess at this point.

It's about time to call it a night but I'm close to having this beast roaring again.
All the fluids are topped off and there are no leaks.

The battery is charging and I have to connect the fuel return line and then I should be able to fire this thing up tomorrow.

Everything is closed up, sealed and ready to fire.
