Hi all,
just done some minor work on my 91 zx1100 (coolant pipe from head to pump and new gear selector rod) went to start her when i was finished and shes not firing and today loud clicking from ignition relay.
are ther any common faults i should be checking out or is it just a process of ellimination.
any advice would be much appreciated.

cheers.

sounds like simple voltage drop problem..
meter your batter.. make sure you got 12-14 volts there..

does the bike roll freely in neutral?

just to make sure that its actually there.. ya know.. since you were playin with a tranny component.. just ensure its not actually in gear, and the neutral switch is lying to you..

no common faults to my knowledge.. (well, watch the abuse on second gear..)

good luck, keep us posted, and welcome to KF!!

if the ignition relay was u/s would this effect anything other than the starter motor?
Thanks.

voltage drop can be caused my bad battery, undercharged battery, poor grounding, corroded connections, etc
