anybody got any info

my 91 zx 11 has been sitting up for a year. the motor has less than 4000 miles on it. i was filling the radiator with water and the crank vent shot oily water out. so now the cranckcase is full of water. other than a blown headgasket is there anything else that could be wrong with it? i really like my bike but i cant put anymore money into it. the motor was just rebuilt. its been bored, oversized cams, the gears have been backcut and its got stage 3 jets. i spent 4 grand on the motor and tranny. id really love to keep it but if its another major repair then ill scrap it. any help would be helpfull.

Hmmmmm welcome to the forums. Does the water pump have a ceramic seal that could have gone bad? That sucks man. :(

welcome to KF.
You did mention coolant while sitting for a year. I would have to agree on the pump seal theme. That is unless you have taken the motor apart in the past and ceramic is not the best of seals.

im thinking that too. i had someone look at it at he seems to think either the block is cracked or the head gasket but the motor has less than 3000 moles since rebuilt. so im leaning towards the seal as well. i hope thats all anyway.

your cylinder sleeve seals have failed.

When the engine overheats the cylinder sleeve seals fail. It is common to think the cylinder head gasket is the cause, but engine oil can get down into the coolant and coolant blow out the exhaust by a leak here too.

Its quite easy to press the cylinders out of the head.
