i changed the oil in my 07 zx10r after tightening everything up i started it up and the oil light wont go off.. is there something you have to reset or what.. i let it run like 45 secs before i noticed it.. i put on a power commander while i had it apart would this be part of it.. any help would be great.. thanx..

 

Did you prime the oil filter on install?
45 seconds is a long time.

 

prime the oil filter? i let it set for a few hours while i was lookin on the net to see if there was something wrong and i went back out and started it back up and it went off.. so i dont know what went wrong..

 

If you prime (fill the oil filter during install with oil that is) then you should not have a light showing.

Takes some time for the pump to completely fill the system with oil on a complete oil change.
