how many of you have taking off the side heat shields for the exhaust??
does it get hot on your leg??
And what did you do with the rear brake res.?

My heat shields are gone and I am trying out my experiement with the brake res. I do not notice any abnormal heat, but I do not ride with a passenger either.

i'd be a little worried about that hose running next to the exhaust pipe. wrap it up with its own heat shield and you should be gtg

The stock line is double layered from the factory. Yes it is close but not touching the exhaust. I used my peg feeler to cap the line, the threaded end isthen boltedclose to the battery/right side cover. This setup will not work with the stock rearsets though.

I took off the upper side shield and the aluminum plate on the under tail tonight.
If you keep the rear sets the brake res. is a small bracket off the sets just needs a little trim to look right.
Wile working on it tonightI noticed the lower pipe is touching the fairing. I tried to adjust the pipe with no luck. Looks like I will have to make a small alteration on the fairing [&:]

I ordered a prat from HRC Racing. I just looked up rear break reservoir eliminator on E-Bay and it came up. After getting it in I see it would be easy just to make your own. I think it really cleans up that area.
