toad i was thinking of getting my wife a 650r. I'm just wondering how tall are you? and was it expensive for the new shock you bought for the bike. My wife really likes this bike but i'm afraid it's to high for her. that's why i ask.

How far was that dropped? The new shock and the chassis that is. No wonder you had to cut off a section of the side stand off. Did you drop the front at the same time? Better keep that stand puck with ya until you weld a foot on that stand.

Hey BB, I am 5'1" and it was definitely way too tall stock. THe shock was approx. $450 total cost. Not bad!

Dragone, we dropped it about 1" 3/4 in the front and 1" 3/4 in the rear. I had to readjust the dampener to make it a little softer, but that was all we did.........so far!!! Yeah, I will be "pucking" it for a while. It's supposed to rain this week, :(so I may not be riding much this week, but sometimes you'll have that.

Notstock, no, we actually cut the stand down so it wouldn't fall over now that it's lowered. I had to do the same with the EX500 lasat summer. Short sux, but only sometimes;);)
