2008 Ninja 650R No start
Gonna give you guys a little history of the bike.
Bought this bike in October. Had roughly 1500 miles on it. It had been laid down before I got it. I have installed, HIDs, a TB SR1 slip on, a BMC air filter and a Power Commander V fuel system. Around the time I put the exhaust on, I noticed the bike burning oil a higher than 6500 RPM. It wasn't much, so I just top it off before I go out on a ride. Lately, I've noticed hesitation between 2000~4000 RPM. Nothing I've tried on the fuel mapping has helped. I replaced spark plugs and coils with no help. I get proper pressure from the fuel pump. It ran fine at 4000+ RPM, but just hesitated at take off up to 3500~4000rpm. Still ride-able but annoying. So about 2 weeks ago, I took it out for a ride and when I got home I was doing some testing and got side tracked and forgot the key on over night. It drained the battery. So I just stuck my charger on the bike and waited a day or so. Now the bike will not start at all. I'm getting fuel, but according to my multi-meter, I'm only getting around 20v or less during start. The service manual says it should be 88v. What could cause this? The battery was brand new before the overnight discharge. Could I have damaged something else? |
