I did some research in different forums and I ordered the 140/70 H-17 Sport Demon rear tire for my EX500. I got it form motorcycle-superstore.com. Does that fit without any modification? Anyone aware of any downside of such an upgrade? The manufacturers don't recommend it but I say f&*^%$# 'em.

 

There is a reason the manufacturer doesnt recommend this tire, its not what is going to give you the best chance of staying upright

 

it will be fine.

 

After every different brand, or size of tire change, always look for clearance issues and then readjust your suspension setup which usually happens.
