I know these lil 500's are the fastest bike out there but i was wondering what the 0-60/ 1/4 times have been laid on this thing. To me its just as slow as my 90 jag

 

did you just call the 500 slow? well sir, this ninja may be slow but at least it's reliable.

supposedly it does 0-60 in 3.7s and high 12's (12.73) on the 1/4 mile (depends on rider). Cant say I've ever owned a vehicle that went that fast, but I have done 3 G's with no vehicle.

Well my old DD was a 17 sec car lol. i have noticed that going fast in a car and on a bike is totally different... on the bike 80 mph feels like 50 and in a car50 feels like 80.

of that list is correct.... a gsxr 1000 is faster then a ZX12?! those **** are insanely fast... and i doubt my 500 will run in high 12's with em on it... im 6'5" 230lbs

 

This is taken from a Motorcycle Consumer News from December of 02.
The 12R is a big, heavy pig compared to the GSXR1K. I was disappointed to see we got beat by the Gold Wing, but it has more than 2.5 times as many cc's.

I'll vouch for the 0-60 time. Just yesterday I pulled over on the side of the expressway to zip up the vents on my jacket as it cooled down in the evening, traffic was moderate and I didn't have a lot of room to squeeze back in. I saw an opening, gunned it and hit 70mph before I knew it. The 500 isn't slow if you ride it fast!
