putting wheels back on
hey guys, my bike is getting shipped to me as we speak! its a 95 ex500. and its been crated to ship so he removed the front wheel so it fit. (at least i think its just the front wheel) but now i of course need to put the front wheel back on. but i have no idea how to do it or if i have the proper tools. so my question is how do u put the wheel back on and what tools do i need? thanks
In your set of tools or bag that is usally in the trunk there will be the proper size tools for removing and tightening the front axel. The brake calipers are just normal mm sockets. Piece of cake.

silverbullet, you should pick up a manual for the bike - I'm pretty sure it covers that topic quite well. I have the Clymer manual for my '94.
Congrats on getting the bike - post some pics when you get a chance!
sweet, thanks guys. to bad now i dont need to worry about the wheel thing cause he ended up shipping it with the wheels both on. but now i have another question. are there frame sliders out there that are cheap and bolt on to the ninja 500? also where can i get cheap mirrors? thanks again guys. and ill send pics once i clean it up a little bit, theres some damage but i dont care cause im new, ill probably drop it! i guess thats why i want sliders. lol
There are tons of slidders and aftermarket parts available. Stay away from metal slidders or no cut ones. You want derlin or nylon sliders, and do not worry if you have to cut the fairing to install them.
Good luck.
Good luck.
