front tire size
 

What is the biggest size that will fit on the front of a 02 500r? I bought some tires and they sent me a 110/80/17 front tire and the tire on there now is a 110/70/17. Will this tire they sent me fit on there or do I need to send it back? I hope it will fit cause I really don't want to send it back. It will cost me more money to send back. Thanks

BTW I have been reading the site for a while now so I seached and nothing came up thanks.

I've got that size on the front of my '02. Shouldn't be a problem, it just isn't as low profile.

Well, I took it to get put on and they guy said he wasnt sure if it would work so I didnt want to pay him to put it on and it wouldnt fit then pay him again to put the other tire back on so I am going to send it back. Thanks

Well the guy never emailed me back so it looks like I have a tire here that I have to see if it fits. So, if any one else has any input on this please do so.

an 80 series and the 70 series are of two different setups or comfort level. I am not sure on what is stock for your ride.

Well I think I am going to put it on and see. The stock tire size for a 87 model is 100/90/16. So, 110/80/17 should work so wish me luck.

It will work fine. Like I said though, from the side it is a smidge taller. If you aren't a crazy rider, you won't notice much of a difference.
