my bike will be outside since I don't have a garage..... what do you guys recommend for covers for the bike???

I have seen a couple on eBay, and also one from http://empirecovers.com/item_detail....temCode=EMPMCL

It works. Keeps the bike dry. I did expect the cover to cover the full rear wheel, but it leaves about 1/5 - 1/4 open on the bottom. Not really a big deal, but i suspect a lot of the cheaper covers will be like this.

 

you want something that has the aluminum thing for the exhaust so that it doesn't burn your cover. I a Dowco cover which cost me 92 even at a place in west covina called Berts. I know its a lot of money but i like the cover a lot. It has padding for the winshield so there won't be any scratches and a lock just in case some dumbass try to steal it and the aluminum thing for the exhaust (your suppose to let the bike cool before covering anyways)

a good tip.
the guy at berts told me that i be fine with a Medium size, but I got a Large so that it can cover my whole bike (even the tires). I did this because i notice that my bike was largers then my friends CBR and YZF.

so you're saying that the large is a good fit for our 500R's? i guess that's what i'll get!!!

 

if your going to berts to buy the dowco, then yes i would recommend a large for the 500R.
Oh hey, can u do me a favor? if your going down before this saturday can you check if they have Golden Spectro synthetic oil and cost for me? I need a oil change asap. thanks in advance

Not to sound strange, but where are u located kali_ninja? i would like to make some friends who ride 500R so i can get some helpfull handy tips.

I'm gona go with one of the ones on eBay, they are around $40 and seem in the description to be good products, this is the one I'm looking at now (similar to the one posted by pangerang)
