bar risers
Just bolted up a nice set of risers, 1-1/4" out of billet aluminum. Nicely made and fit well. Motorcyclelarry.com, cheap too, about $70. Haven't ridden it yet but feels like what I wanted. I had to drill some new holes in the bars for the switchgear tabs as I like my levers down a little from stock, got it all just about right now, fits like a glove. Jim.

RE: bar risers
Got 100 miles of COLD riding on these now and really like them. Made the front wheel a little lighter so steering is quicker/lighter and no ill effects in stability up to 100 MPH indicated in the wind. Wind blast seems to hit at the same spot off the Zero Gravity touring shield as I'm slightly back and higher from stock. Good cheap mod that is easy on the back. My brother is smaller, 5-04 at 130 lbs and he thought it was way better, less reach to the bars for him so smaller riders might like this also. Jim.

RE: bar risers
Cool, was the install as easy as you would expect or did you run into any problems with it?

RE: bar risers
They slipped right in, if the stock brake lines were in place. The SS braided Lockharts are a little tight but I would have reset the controls anyway so,,,,, that forced me to drill new setting holes in the bars to lock the switchgear in a little further forward rotation, allowing the levers to turn forward, (down) and the line was just loose enough to be fine. I'll try to get some pics up soon. Jim.

RE: bar risers
I think this might be a project this winter. If I try it I'll let you know how it goes.

I just put a set of these on myself on my 2006 500R wish I had read your post sooner could have save a few bucks. Now I am 5'6" and 63 years old and most of the timeriding two up with my wife. Did you have a problem with the front end and tire bite under normal conditionsor I guess what do I need to watch for conditions. I haveridden solo for about 50 miles now with no problems.
