air filter replacement
I'm back with more questions everyone!
I need to change the air filter, except I have no idea even where it is or how to go about it... I tried finding the service specifications on kawasaki.com, but the links didn't work.
Anyone care to chime in?

Sorry to be a smart@$$, but why are you changing it? If your old one is dirty, you can rinse it and re-oil it. Despite the marketing, K&N filters offer no appreciable advantage or gain in HP.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

On these forums I saw that the 4K mile tune up includes changing the air filter.
I simply assumed that that was a good choice, if I can reuse the old one, then by allmeans instruct me on where it is and how to rinse it... I'd be quite thankful!

It's behind the carburetors in a plastic container called the airbox.
You can let it go much longer than 4,000 miles. In fact, unless you've been riding off-road you can wait until the 6500-mile valve adjustment to clean it.
I've had stock air-cleaners last more than 50,000 miles. (And the only reason I changed them was just to be on the safe side.)
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
