Default Rear tire choice?

Well what rear tire would anyone reccomend for my 96.OEM dunlops suck of course. I have a nail in my 4 month old tire and its almost bald anyway.. so time to buy yet another one. i ride pretty hard (meaning i beat this bike for all it has and then some), but i also ride fairly long distances and get caught in the rain quite often. Theres so many different tires i have no idea what to go for. I dont want something thats gonna skate around on a wet road. What size do i go to for more options.. 130/90-16 up from the 80? ... i gota stop and get one tomorrow - i'm against patching / plugging a bike tire but i did it just to go across town to work and back. if it goes flat again ill just keep riding home like i did yesterday with it flopping around - doesnt scare me.
thanks for anyones input.

I have Avon Road Riders on mine. They discontinued the correct size for the front though, so I plan on getting the Pirellis next time. Go for a 120 on back instead if the 130, the bike steers lighter.
