New to the site and wanted get some opinions about upgrading the rear shock. I have a 2006 which I got last year and wanted to see how much a bigger shock would help. I'm about 6' and 220 lbs. Thanks!

 

I just did a quick check in the micro fiche. The 06 500 shock and the 06 zx6r and the 06 zx6rr shock will work for the 250. You may dig into that info abit more, but the numbers are matching. Enjoy.

You should be able to come up with some really good prices due to that similarity and since most race bikes get their stock shocks swapped out.
