Default Pictures of my bike

Here are pics of the bike complete, minus the lower fairing which I installed 2 days ago.

ORIGINAL: korax123

Thanks!
Here is what it looked like when I brought it home:

It is a 2000 with 13K on it. Here is what I did to it:

Removed all decals
Had the lower fairing painted to get rid of the purple paint
Painted the wheels black to get rid of the purple wheels
New Bridgestone Tires
Removed the rear fender and replaced it with a $14 bracketi found on ebay.
Installed shorter rear turn signals.
Added brake lights to the empty outter rear brake sockets.
Replaced the chain and sprockets with new OEM

Thanks! I think so too. Why they choose to go with a red white and purple scheme I don't know. LOL

Nice job. It's looks 1000 percent better without the cheesy decals.

How did you go about painting the rims? I have the same purple rims that I don't really care for, but I don't want to go through the trouble of removing both wheels to paint them...did you just rattle-can them while they were on the bike?

I think it would be almost impossible to paint the wheels while they are on the bike, especially with the rotors on. I had to take my wheels off for new tires anyway so I just painted them at that time. I actually painted them with the old tires on so I would not have to tape off the new tires. I used Dupli-color wheel paint. I have used that on cars in the past and it holds up great so I figured it would be good to use on the bike too. The paint came out very nice on the wheels.
