Long distance riding
I and looking for a street bike for the wife. I want her to be comfortable on 100+ mile rides. She like the Ninja 250 and I was wondering how the 250 did as far as comfort goes on a long ride.
I assume you're talking about the new '08 250R. I don't personally know about that model, but on the old 250R, I cannot ride for more than two hours tops before my back aches really bad, and my butt gets numb. But others here have had no problems. I guess it all depends on the riders own body.
Long distance is a relative term pal. And what do you mean "relying on people to tell you what to do"? That doesn't make too much sense. The forums are for advice and opinions.
the older 250 has a more upright relaxed riding position that is conducive to longer distance comfort - but it really does depend on the individual when it comes to the seat.
I just bought my '08 Saturday. It is NOT as comfy as the older generation bike, but it is much sportier, sharper, and smoother. I doubt that's what your wife would like. I'd look for an older model. You can buy used ones for relatively cheap.
Good luck.
Good luck.
The problem that I am having is that she is only 5'1" and loves sport bikes. I try to talk her into more of a cruzer style of bike but she have nothing to do with them. I must say that I can't blame her. I don't much care for them either. I have to take her down to the dealer and get her on a few and she what she thinks. Thank all
