Default Leaking gas tank

So the person that owned the bike before me used a bolt that was too long to replace the one that holds the fairing to the gas tank, and they puncured the tank. So now I can't fill the tank for than half full, or it leaks out all over the upper and lower fairing. I circled the bolt in red, and the messed up paint from the leaky fuel in blue.

Besides buying a new tank, does anyone have suggestions on how to fix said leak?
