Default Insusrance?

ok this might seem like a dumb question but i just dont know so here it goes:
I just got my bike and got insurance for stuff like

Body injury liability, property damage etc, but i was wondering how many think that full coverage for things like theft is a good idea? i got a good rate for the year but for full coverage it would have been like 5 times more, so i was hesitant to get it but never thought about theft, how do ost of you feel about this and is F/C really worth it on a bike?

Thank You all

If you have a new bike or a bike you can not afford to lose I would get theft on it.

If you have home owners insurance, theft is or should be covered. If you are renting, you might consider renter's insurance. I only got liability from Geico, for 10,000-$25000-$300,000 it was only $80 a year. And when I added the wife's bike on the policy it only increased the cost by $6.00 a year. So for $86.00 a year for liability and piece of mind, that's not too bad. Full coverage? Not a chance. If you wreck your bike and survive, that's all that counts. I'm not saying full coverage is a total waste either, everyone has to weigh out the costs. But I figure if I wreck and have to fix up the bike, I bet I'm still aheadof the game compared to all the premiums paid out.

If you have a garage to store it in, then either your home or renter's insurance would probably cover theft. I paid $174/yr for full coverage on the '06 250R, but I canceled it for liability at $110/yr.

yeah I got liability but I own a town home with no garage so I keep inside a lot and sometimes outside chained to my truck, and yeah I mostly asked about theft (comprehensive) especially for places when I park not at home, I agree on the whole full coverage, if I wreck and walk away I would be happy with just that, thank you all

It depends on your age and where you live as well. I have full coverage on a 2005 zzr 600 and I pay around $35 a month. Seems reasonable enough to me. Gap coverage really could be beneficial as well. I knew a lot of guysin the Army who were still paying off bikes that they hadtotaled.

I pay $236 a yearfor liability on my 250r now im a new rider and 24 years old so take that into account. For full coverage the cost was $6xx a year. So I said screw that I only paid $1200 for the bike im not paying that much for insurance and the bike stays in the garage. Im hoping next year the rates will drip a lot on the bike since I will have the moto endoursment for 1 year.
