Installed Area P Full Exhaust (pics & vid)
So I called up to Area P yesterday and ordered my exhaust. It was at my door less than 20 hours later. (I love living in SoCal) Installed in a little over an hour. Overall it was very easy, the hardest part was taking the fairing off. Here are some pics from the install:
Fairing removed:

Stock connection w/ bolts removed:

Stock exhaust removed:

Some comparison pics:

Stock catalitic converter. I think we only have this in CA:

Close clearence. Pic taken from underneath:

Area P fitted:

New connection:

Finally attatched:

Here's a little vid I put together: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPXVrE5Yefs
Went for a ride right after, and I love it. There is definitely a very noticable gain. I'm still only at 250 miles into my break in, so I'm keeping it under 7000rpm but even at low RPMs it's a lot quicker. Looks and sounds sooooo much better than the stock system. Let me know if you have any Qs.
Cheers!

Wow! Those are some great pics, and the video is very well done. I think the new system looks awesome! (And sounds awesome too!) What about rejetting the carbs now? I would imagine the engine runs a little leaner due to the better exhaust flow.
From the installation instructions:
"Stock fuel curve ranges from 12.5-13.5. The Ninja 250R does exhibit a tendency to be slightly lean in the low-mid range and slightly rich up top. It is still within specs and no changes were necessary on our test bike. Properly jetting the carbs may further enhance performance."
I may consider it, but I assume it will void my warranty?

Very nice indeed! I see Kawa still has that retarded oil filter arrangement, I wonder if the Bergman spin-on filter kit adapter would clear your header? Love the sound,do you mind telling us how much that Area P kit cost?

It was $495 +$12 shipping. I guess there was a group buy that I just missed that was selling it for $425. Hit up Kevin at Advanced Kawasaki and ask him, I think he may be setting up another one soon.

Yeah FOR SURE. I'm still in my 'break in' stage so I'm keeping her under 7000rpms, but even in that range I noticed a BIG difference in acceleration. Their numbers don't lie!
