Does any one know what the Base HP is on an 07 250 ?

At the Crank, they're supposed topeak out around 36hp, and 18ft-lbs of torque.

That sounds so little. Do the 2000-2006 models share the same specifications?

I thought that was pretty good for a 250cc engine. The honda 250rebel is only rated at 18hp! I'veridden one of thoseat the MSF course, and yeah, the Ninja 250 feels like it has twice the power!

Think about this, the 1960's 1300cc Volkswagen Beetle was only rated at around 36hp also. Crazy!

36hp! Thats awesome for a 250...I thought it was about 25hp but maybe I am thinking of power at the wheel. I would love to ride one of these some day at Ortega Hwy or Palomar.

Yeah. Very little has changed on the 250 since 20yrs ago. The newest addition for the 250 was a rev limiter a couple years ago.

you are correct daniel-san. crank is around 35-37hp and wheel is around 25-27hp.
