Got the "classic" 2002. To be honest, when I look at the 2008 or a zzr600, Zx6, ect. I start thinking about how cool they look and how neat it would feel to go 160 mph. But after a few seconds of rational thinking returns, I'm glad I have the 250. 115 mph is fast enough to get me into all the trouble I could ask for, the bike can go faster than I can reasonably pilot it on the roads I travel. At 65 mpg, it is super economical and parts are easy to get and cheap as far as motorcycles go.
It is fun to ride at any speed -you control it, not the other way around. You will be very happy with it as long as you don't ask it to the one thing it was not designed to do - race the 600cc-up sport bikes. (Your not supposed to race them on public roads anyway)

i'm 5'2" i try not to put my feet down. but if i had to, i'm tip toed but not uncomfortable. i ride a crf150 for dirt. i guess that as long as you don't have to put your feet down, you can throw your 250 anyway you can or any bike for that matter. i'd rather buy a bike that fits me than to buy one and lower it.

133 - 155 lbs (depending on wrestling season or not)
And i pick my 04 Ninja 250 up tomorow morning.
The bike is rated to 375# cargo weight, according to the owner's manual. How satisfactory you find it at that load is going to be subjective. It's certainly doable. I'd keep the rides pretty short, though.
I'm 5'6" 120lb. 44
I have always ridden cruisers, this is my first sport bike... and I like!
I went from a 750 cruiser to the 08' 250 and can't compare, its apple and oranges. I'm still trying to get used to the higher rpm's I keep wanting to shift. But it sure is spunky!
