You can change to silver star with the osram mark they can be found at auto zone. Or Piaa bulbs but they are pricey http://www.piaa.com/Bulbs/Bulbs-H4.html

I have the Osram Silver Star but havent ridden at night with it. I am seriously considering the piaa bulbs if the silver star bulbs dont help.

As far as adding lights you are limited in watts because the electrical system cant compensate for the extra load you cant keep the battery charged.

You can usuallyadd 1 fog lightbut I cant remember if it canbe 55w,which helps some but you CANT install it to the faring in the wheel well above the tire, you will smash it and possibly damage the fender and or faring. There is some room, but to make sure you have to release the pressure in the forks and let them compressthe fender tothe faring. Because the 250 can bottom out stock fork set up.

I've seen bikes with fog lights mounted to the side of the fairing, but I never liked the look of having fog lights on bikes anyway.

I put the silver star bulb in my KZ750 and immediately noticed how much brighter it was than stock. That would be your best option if you don't want to spend huge bucks on piaa.

No lie, I have seen them drilled into the front fender themselves, one on each side. I had to turn and follow the guy to actually make sure i wasn't seeing things that night... bad part was this is illegal in certain states... he got a ticket that night... I was the deputy sheriff to write it...

Considering the yellow lights are further from the natural light spectrum than HID's, or other "cool" white lights, then yes, they would be more visible in regular sunlight.

I want to change my headlight to a PIAA I have the bulb, but I have no idea how to get to it. Someone said to take fairing off but it looks pretty complicated and I am not all that mechanically inclined.
