Default hate sales people

went to the dealer today just to be told that the 250 will make me feel like FRED FLINSTONE and that i needed at least a 500r. i just wanted something to commute to and from work while still being able to fly past some cars and fly between stop lights.

also with a experienced rider ( which i am not ) would one be able to beat most cars on the road form light to light ?
civics, bmw, acura, infinity, suv;s, trucks, ect.ect.

or even be able to merge onto the interstate at high RPM's and fly over to the fast lane with no problems ?

yea, im basically getting a 250 for the gas milage and to go on little rides and commute to work. as long as i can pass traffic easily, and keep up when need be, that's all i want. hopefully i'm not like fred flinstone, i'm 6'0

also dealers i've spoken to have said the total opposite, they said get a 250, and trade in when you feel ready. they said getting bigger than a 500 isn't the best idea as a first bike etc etc. so i guess it depends who you talk to and all that

You have to go with what you want. The salesman is not the one buying your bike. The only reason he probably was pushing a bigger bike on you is because it would be a bigger commission check for himself.

Not yet I have to wait two weeks to take a loan from my 401k and then ill pay cash for it. I went and looked at them and its
Like 2999.99 MSRP, 3200.00 dealer cost, 3600.00 out the door.

Asked the sales guy what was the lowest I could get it for with cash and he said 3600.00 because there isn’t much room to haggle with on the 250's

O well ill buy it full cost. At least I know it’s going to be brand new and have a warranty. Also what’s up with the 4k RPM break in rule? Hell with that I cannot even make in on the main roads, or can I?
