Hi everyone, my wife is looking at buying a 250 and i was wondering what the differences are in the years. I am in Canada and i think in 2003 the ninja 250 changed to a zzr 250 with new body work aluminum frame etc, but does anyone else know?

i know the old zx6r's turned into the zzr's but allways thought the 250's remained the same. but you are from canada so that could change everything.

there are two different types of 250 ninjas. I believe in 1999, canada started recieving the updated 250 ninja which is called the body style (H), before that, the ninja 250's were the older style (F) bodies. The US still gets the (F) style ninja's even today. I don't believe though that there has been anything more than a few exterior cosmedic changes made to canada's (H) body since it's arrival.
I wish kawasaki would bring the (H) body ninjas to the US. they look so much nicer than the (F) bodies.

Even though this may be the sweetest looking 250cc bike ever, the price is extremely high for American tastes. It's just a guess but in USD conversion, you're looking at a price at or around $5,000. In the US, I don't think that price for a 250cc bike would ever sit well with many US buyers. Americans just don't buy small sized motorcycles unless they're CHEAP! But hey, that could change real soon if gas prices continue to rise. (which they will) maybe one day we'll see the canadian version in our dealerships

wow, its like a completly different bike. looks bad *** but like you mentioned, the price makes it not worth it. especially for a 250, unless thats just how expensive things are in canada then its normal.
