Can my 250R hold me?

I will be getting a 250R (hopefully) by the end of the year, and i would like to know if it can hold my weight. I weigh a good 280lb (Maybe walking to work will help with that), and i would like to know if i should get the 250R, or the 500R for my weight.

Thanks.

Youll be fine.

Stock rear shock is rated to 340lbs. I have ridden around with 2 people for a short ride at 425lbs and the bike was fine, I was actually suprised that it barely noticed us on it and we went up and down hills. The braking was insufficient for the 420lb weight though.

Between the 250 and 500 for the $ difference I have never been interested in the 500, well that and I would have to shave the seat, its too tall.

Welcome Mantic, but not knowing how you normally ride, I would probably side for the 500

If its just a quick commute, or a long one, and your not a tank lay-down kinda guy, in other words like me, then your fine. Im 200+ and I ride this thing more than I walk or stand!
