98 250 ninja engine number location??

98 250 ninja engine number location??

just bought a 250. MN requires engine number for new title. I looked all over that motor with a bright light and could not find a number on the engine.

Can anyone tell me where it is? (or maybe there isn't one???)

I think it's on top of the case just under the carbs, but I could be wrong.

The easiest place to find it would be on the sales document that identifies the bike you purchased.
