So, what's the best price you Southern California riders have found (out the door) on the 2008 Ninja 250R? Most dealers are charging about $4800-4900, but the best I've come across is $4400 out the door. I still think that $900 is a bit much for taxes, license, and random dealer "setup" fees. I think $3800 would be a fair price, but I wouldn't even consider paying over $4000.

We're headed towards recession, and dealers are tacking on 10% to MSRP just to pull the bike out of the box and adjust the clutch for us? I wonder if they would give me a price break if I opted to pull it out of the box myself?

P.S. I saw a video made by a first time rider that said he paid $3801 out the door.....obviously in another state though.

 

I paid about $4475. Price on the bike was as listed, $3499. Taxes, handling and assembly got me on the rest. What you have to watch out for is all the "extras" that the "finance guy" trys to tack on at the end. They'll easily get you for another $3000 if you're not careful.

Edit: Oh, and I'm in San Diego.
