i need opinions...buy an '08 for 4k this weekend thats used with one thousand miles and warranty til 2014, or wait it out til the '09's come out?? i was told the '09's are gonna be $3995 (maybe fuel injected/ better colors???)... what do you think the prices will go to on the 08's when the '09s come out??

I doubt they'll do the fuel injection here in the states. The key point they made on the 250 here in the states is the price and that's why they went with carburetor instead of f/i for the states. The f/i apparently ups the price quite a bit from what they claim. Plus they JUST changed the model here for the first time in 20 years, so don't expect them to make any major changes in the '09 model. I would say get the '08 you found now and get to riding, otherwise you might find yourself on yet another waiting list for the first round of '09's.

I'm about to give up on the 2008 250, with the stories you get from the dealer on when you will get one & the price gouging when there is one available.

I have a dealer near by that has a 2007 Suzuki GS500, with 688 miles on it for $3800, which i could be riding this week.

 

The GS500 is a steal at that price...and they are great bikes for the money. I had an 08 and loved it......until it was stolen by meth-heads

 

If you haven't bought that bike yet and it's still around go for it - that is an insane warranty and there will not be anymore 08 and the 09s wont be here until at least October except for the 1 that most dealerships will be getting in Aug.

 

ya he still had it but i had a cinder block fall on my foot at work and shattered it so i didt buy it cuz i wont be riding...not a good...i signed up for the safety course and everything too... looks like i wont be riding soon
