Yep I"m new here! Making my new 2008 ninja 250r custom..
 

Hi! Okay I'm new to all of this bike stuff..but I'm learning! I just bought a 2008 ninja 250r last Saturday and I have never rode in my life..besides a dirt bike when I was 10, anyway my boyfriend just put a 3" lowering kit on it yesterday and I got to ride it for the first time last night and I am so excited but theres other things I want to do to it before I take it out.. as he calls..makin it purty..whatever, I just want it more me! While the bike has been sitting around for a week.. I was too short to ride it before the lowering..lol anyway, I have had a chance to put flush mount lights on it and removed the "shrek ears" as I call them, had the fender cut off..still looking for a kit for the fender, graphics and deffinitely a new exhaust system! I'm already getting laughed at cause its a 250 and I'm a girl and everyone else well guys anyway that I know have yamaha R6's and their bikes are way loud and the only way I can tell mine is running is that it's vibrating! So anywho, if anyone has any ideas on good places online to help me find the parts I'm looking for and what it takes to install them I will very much appreciate it!

welcoem to KF - i think all the info you are looking for is int he 250 section. pretty sure i remember undertail links and louder exhausts.

and just ignore those guys, if they don't want you as a rider then we'll take ya :)

welcome to the forums. you got any pics of the bike lowered ? i just looked at a 250 last week and was wondering on how to lower the front on them. looking at getting the woman a 250 too so theres nothing wrong with it. ride on

Yeah I have taken tons of pictures of everything we are doing to it! I'm 5"2 so we lowered it 3" and it's perfect for me now.. when we got it home last weekend I was barely tiptoeing on each side and deff couldn't balance or even wanted to try to take it off the kickstand.

Welcome to KF Melissa....There are allot of links in the 250 section as Kohburn. I see allo tof people doing it up on the 250. Keep riding girl and the H3ll with the people on the bigger bikes talkign smack, and we will definately take you as a 250 rider. Welcome
