Default won't stay running

i'm new to the bike game so please bare with me.
i have a 87 ex500, when i got it the magnets came apart and messed up the stator i replaced the stator and seems to be charging good. it has an aftermarket exhaust tip but the baffles are missing. i cleaned out the carbs don't think it has been rejeted.
the real problem is if it's cold it'll run for a wile, when it's 70 or more it won't run for more than 5 or 10 minutes.
i have close to 1600 in it and don't have alot of money to put in it.
seems to me like i got in over my head . anything would help.

[hr]

you wouldn't belive how many shops won't help cause i have an old bike,
when it's running it runs great. the whole reason i chose a nija style was for handling, it's a real lite bike so even though it doesn't have that much power it you can have alot of fun on it. i did get stupid on it and laid it down going 50 around a corner. not so smart. but since i don't have alot o cash to try out diffrent parts, i'm almost ready to sell.

Question; So the hotter it gets outside, the bike will only run for a few minutes?

So, does the bike just completely cut out and die, or does it start running like crap and then die?

it just dies. it's like somthing is getting hot and just shutting off. when it died i checked for spark and nothing.
but the wierd thing is if i just let it idle and don't ride it, it will run. this is why i cann't figure it out. i did buy some newer coils off e-bay.

I was gonna say a possible coil issue. However the igniter box could also be malfunctioning as it warms up.
